Curriculum Committee

Main Responsibilities: Curriculum committee members attend Touro's monthly tri-campus Faculty Curriculum Council meetings. In these meetings they represent the student-opinion in both short-term and long-term goals. The committee lead attends SGA meetings twice per month to report on the interworking of the Faculty Curriculum Council.

Mission: To collaborate with students, faculty, and administrators to foster and support academic achievement through advocacy and a student-centric approach

Goals:
  1. Student-Centric Approach: To prioritize the voices and needs of students in all aspects of curriculum development and improvement, advocating that the education provided is tailored to the aspirations and goals of our diverse student body
  2. Feedback and Communication: Establish open lines of communication with students, faculty, and administrators to collect feedback and address concerns in a transparent and constructive manner as they relate to curriculum
  3. Advocacy: Ensure the student body is advocated for in the decision-making process at the level of Faculty Curriculum Council and above
Membership: This committee shall consist of one representative from each OMS-class. As per Touro guidelines, appointed students remain on the committee throughout their four years as long as students are compliant with the current handbook’s standard for good academic standing. The OMS-II Curriculum Committee representative shall serve as the Committee lead.
